Sahar Nissim, MD, PhD

A physician-scientist with interests in cancer biology and pancreatic development, Dr. Nissim is dedicated to uncovering the mechanisms of previously uncharacterized mutations leading to pancreatic cancer. His research lab utilizes the zebrafish model to ask questions about molecular interactions and inter-generational disease, uncovering novel findings that lead to pre-clinical and clinical trials to treat pancreatic cancer. A longtime Boston resident, Dr. Nissim has chosen Harvard/BWH/DFCI to launch his lab and mentor the next generation of researchers.
